Cadet Training Allowances.

Introduction:

This section provides information on the sponsorship allowance received by cadets whilst enrolled on a training programme organised under the auspices of the SSTG.

Where the training allowance is paid direct by the Sponsoring Company to the cadet, details will be provided by the Sponsoring Company. Any queries should be addressed directly to the company, or their payment agency.

Where any training allowance is paid by the SSTG, one of the following will apply:

  • Weekly Sponsorship Allowances: Some sponsorship agreements provide for the payment of an allowance which is quoted as a weekly payment. In such cases this will be calculated in full weeks only. Each month, a payment will be made that is calculated on either 4 full weeks or 5 full weeks. All payments will be paid so that cleared funds will be available in your personal nominated bank account by the 15th or the last working day of each calendar month, dependent on the terms of your Sponsorship Agreement.
  • Monthly Sponsorship Allowances: The payment received in respect of any monthly sponsorship Allowance due will either be paid so that cleared funds will be available in your personal nominated bank account by the 15th or the last working day of each calendar month, dependent on the terms of your Sponsorship Agreement. For cadets in receipt of a monthly allowance, in either case, the payment received will be in respect of that calendar month.
