Introduction:
This policy applies to all Officer Trainees undertaking full time college study as part of their cadet training programme, whose training is managed by the SSTG.
If you don’t pass one of your exams, assessments or assignments, you’ll be advised by your lecturer on the different options open to you. You may be allowed another attempt at no further cost, although there may be certain rules that you have to follow, such as you have to re-sit the test within a certain time period.
Sometimes, there will be a re-sit fee and you will usually have to pay this yourself. However, in some circumstances, your sponsor may authorise SSTG to pay an additional fees if they feel that there are strong mitigating circumstances, but there is no guarantee of this.
