Electro Technical Officer Training Programmes:

Qualification with a Certificate of Competency as a Electro Technical Officer is a relatively new development. It's introduction reflects the growing complexity of modern control systems and the ever growing range of electronic systems found on every new Merchant Navy vessel.

Due to the high level of electronics studies required, all the approved ETO Officer Cadet Training programmes are based on a Foundation Degree.

For more detail of the ETO Training programme refer to the detailed programme specification which can be found here.
